Stoudimire Joins New York Knicks:

Congrats New York Knicks Fans, you have a reason to go to
Madison Square Garden next season. It's just not the biggest fish you've
caught. Amare Stoudimire agreed to a five year $100-million dollar deal to
play on Broadway with the Knicks. It instantly invigorates a franchise
that's waited patiently for this off season for three years. Stoudimire even
met with current Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni about their history together
when both were with the Phoenix Suns.
Stoudimire might even lure Dwyane Wade or LeBron James to play with him in
New York. It would be a huge coup to get one of those guys. Stoudimire had
some of his best years under D'Antoni, averaging at least 20 points per game
for D'Antoni while with the Suns. He brings a dynamic offensive presence
that draws double teams. Stoudimire will also like to get out of the tougher
Western Conference. He can take parts of games off with the Knicks and still
put up big numbers against softer inside teams.
Stoudimire is the first major free agent to change teams this off season.
James is still keeping mum about where he'll play next year while Wade
returned to Miami. Wade is still hoping to convince Chris Bosh and James to
play with him in Miami, but the bright lights of Broadway could pull James
and Wade away from South Beach. It certainly helps when you can play with
Amare Stoudimire every night. Just something to think about, King James.
