UPDATE: According to Michael Lee of The Washington Post, Washington Wizards C JaVale McGee was undoubtedly caught off guard on the night that the Washington Wizards traded Antawn Jamison to Cleveland. The players got wind of the move only minutes before meeting with coaches as they prepared to play the Timberwolves. McGee assumed that he would finally get more playing time after the Wizards moved center Brendan Haywood to Dallas a few days earlier. But with Jamison gone, Andray Blatche moved to power forward and before he knew it, McGee was inserted into the starting lineup for the first time since last season's finale in Boston.

FANTASY IMPACT: McGee has taken advantage of his increased playing time. He has made some major strides in his development. The second year center from Flint, Michigan is averaging just 4.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game on the season. However, as a starter, McGee is averaging 10.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game. He scored 13 points and blocked five shots Sunday against the Boston Celtics.
